While perfumer Estée Lauder was sitting in her lonely house in Cap d'Antibes on the French Riviera and enjoying the beauty of the Mediterranean, she was inspired to create Azuri perfume. The fragrance, which was launched in 1969, is characterized by being transparent and sunny, with earthy and warm notes and a woody base. The fragrance is made from basil, jasmine, citrus, vetiver, rose, patchouli, moss and amber.
Top notes: citrus, basil and jasmine;
Middle notes are wormwood, vetiver and rose;
Base notes are oak moss, patchouli and amber.
