Cutting-Edge Tank Makes Its 1/35 scale R/C Debut

The Leopard 2 was first produced in 1979 and is in service with the armies of Austria, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Spain with over 3000 produced. The Leopard 2A5 version employs cutting-edge armor technology, and is currently considered to be one of the top tanks in the world. Tamiya now presents a 1/35 scale R/C tank of the Leopard 2 A5, marking the 4th item on the 1/35 scale R/C Tank Series. This kit is a Full Option Set that includes gearbox, motors, transmitter and also receiver unit. While certain parts such as wheels and sprockets have been converted into R/C adapted parts, most exterior parts like the upper hull and turret are kept the same as in the Military Miniature static model Series Leopard 2 A5 (Item35242). Thus, the R/C Leopard retains the same level of detail and precision as its static counterpart.Forward/reverse movement, pivoting and more!

Motors, battery case, switch, pilot lamp, and receiver antenna lead are all pre-wired. Use slide switch on left side of receiver to control forward/reverse movement. Switch on right side of transmitter controls tank pivot. Buttons on bottom left or transmitter control right/left turret rotation. Attached 2-channel receiver allows realistic tank movement. A/B varieties of 27Mhz bands are available on R/C unit for simultaneous running of two Leopard Tanks for double the excitement.
